Kydesia Shunta Haynes born February 17,1994 better known by her stage name Ky Haynes, is a Mississippi hip hop and R&B undergroud artist and songwriter.She first begin rapping in forth grade and when she heard the recording artist lil wayne. Haynes begin learning how to write her own songs in elementary. In six grade is when she begins to write songs with her present best friend Shanythia Ellis.She futher her rapping skills with Cordarius Jones, Richard McCray and Samuel Groves.In the Future Haynes plans on dropping three mixtape: Ky vs Ky, 2012, and iky before she hits college.
Haynes was born in 1994 in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Her parents were of Black and Indian ancestry and she lived in Friars Point, Mississippi with her grandmother, because her parents were too young and unable to care for her. Her mother would occasionally visit, According to Haynes, her Step-grandfather drank alcohol.
She attended Friars Point Elementary School where she learn how to write her first song and Coahoma County Jr. High School. She has not yet graduated Coahoma Agricutural High School. Haynes participated in the Band, Choir,Fbla, History, and Project Upward Bound program.She had initially planned to sing at CCC Mass Choir her nineth grade year , but lost her voice on the day of the audition.
While growing up Kydesia was surrounded by constant trouble and fighting between her parents. To escape her real life problems she would create characters and live her life through them. While having a talk with her grandmother she stated. I went on to "Flyest chick", then "Ky Heezy" and finally "Ky Haynes". Fantasy was my reality.
In 2008 Haynes created another unknown alter-ego named "KyKidster Kaneko meaning "gold child ". She stated that in songs like "Oh My God, Like a drumma and Kush" with Hoodboi it is not Ky Haynes rapping, but instead KyKidster, and claims that Kidster is her "triplets". She claims that she was born inside her, out of rage, and becomes her when she is angry. She has also said 'She is a demon inside her'. Kidster has been compared to Her mother alter ego Leevaina on the song. Kidster also has a "mother" called "Roxanne Kaneko ", who also has with a Japanese accent.
She appears to be Ky's magical Godmother. In songs such as "Flyest bytch" it is Ky rapping. Ky stated that when ever her debut album comes out, fans will get to "meet" Ky, Kykidster and Kydesia.
On June 18, 2010 Ky Haynes created a different alter-ego named "Ky Nicki". Wearing a colorful skull around on head, she went around as the joker to her friends and family
Haynes has stated that artists who have influenced her musical style include Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Tupac, T.I, Lil Kim. Slim Shady and Biggie .
Personal life
While some songs have implied that Haynes is bisexual, She has said that she does not date nor have sex with women, but tells others "I don’t date men either." she tells, "I just embrace all people of all lifestyles and I don’t tell them they are bad people. And I say girls are beautiful and girls are sexy and they need to be told that, and if they don’t have anyone to tell them that and mean it, I’m gonna tell them that. But I feel like people always wanna define me and I don’t wanna be defined. There are so many shades in the middle, and you’ve got to let people feel comfortable with saying what they want to say when they want to say it."One day Haynes was asked if she felt hip-hop was becoming more gay-friendly. She responded, "I think the world is getting more gay-friendly, so hip-hop is too. But it's harder to imagine an openly gay male rapper being embraced, people view gay men as having no street credibility. But I think we'll see one in my lifetime."
